Discover how Zillions Gift Cards work, where to redeem them, check balances, see brand lists, and learn if Zillions is legit or a scam before you buy.

Hello everyone 👋

I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter lately about Zillions Gift Cards, also called the Zift Zillions of Gifts eGift Card. Some people LOVE them because of the flexibility, others are frustrated because they couldn’t redeem them. So I did a deep dive to gather all the info I could—and I’m sharing it here so we can discuss, and so you can know exactly what to expect. If you’ve used one, please drop your experience below!

At a high level: this card is a kind of multi-brand digital gift card. You purchase (or are gifted) a card that doesn’t itself directly map to one store. Instead, you redeem that card on the website for one or more eGifts from a list of participating brands. Then you use the resulting eGift in the store/brand you picked.
So instead of getting, say, just an Ulta card or just an Outback Steakhouse card, you get a “Zillions” card which gives you options. According to the product description:

  • “Redeemable for eGifts from brands like The Cheesecake Factory, Xbox, Outback Steakhouse, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ulta, Panera Bread and many more.” PC Game Supply
  • “No fees — 100% value delivered.” PC Game Supply

So, in principle: a good idea if you want choice.

Where to buy:

  • Their official site: “Where to Buy” on ZillionsGift.com shows you can buy online or in-store at participating locations. Zillion's Gift
  • Digital retailers: e.g., at BestBuy you’ll find a “Zift – $50 Zillions eGift Card (Digital)”. Best Buy+1

How to redeem / where you use it:

  • You visit the redemption website (ZillionsGift.com) and enter your card number/serial. Then you select one or more eGifts from the available brand list. Zillion's Gift+2PC Game Supply+2
  • These eGifts are then delivered via email. You use them online or in-store at the brand you chose. PC Game Supply
  • But: the key limitation: the card itself is not directly swipable as a universal gift card at any store. You must go through the redemption process. From FAQs: “Your Card is redeemable only at ZillionsGift.com for eGifts from participating brands within the USA.” Zillion's Gift

Brands list & flexibility:

  • The description mentions big names (Amazon, Ulta, Home Depot, etc). PC Game Supply+1
  • But important: the brand list is subject to change. Some users reported that the brand they expected (e.g., Amazon) wasn’t available. > “I almost bought a ZiftZillions card … but they have a huge disclaimer that the brands shown on the card were ‘subject to change.’” Reddit

International / Country limits:

  • It seems to be only for the USA (“Valid in the USA at ZillionsGift.com”). PC Game Supply+1
  • If you’re outside the US, there’s risk of not being able to redeem. > “I just got a Zillions gift card, but I’m not in the US… It doesn’t let me redeem.” Reddit

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of how the process goes (and where things can go wrong):

  1. Purchase / Receive the Zillions card. Could be physical or digital.
  2. Check the back of the card / email for the card number, expiration date, CVV (if physical) or serial (if digital). For physical: scratch off the silver barcode area. FAQs say: “For physical Cards, your 16-digit Card number and other important details are located on the back of the Card.” Zillion's Gift
  3. Go to ZillionsGift.com, log in or enter card details (number, expiration, CVV, serial) as required.
  4. Select one or more eGifts from the participating brand list — the amount you redeem must be ≤ your available balance. FAQ says: “You can redeem your Card for one or more eGifts, up to the amount in your available balance.” Zillion's Gift
  5. Receive eGift(s) by email — with the brand, value, redemption code.
  6. Use the eGift at the brand you selected (either online or in-store, depending on brand/terms).
  7. Remain balance: If you didn’t redeem the full amount, you might have leftover funds. Check the balance on the site.
  8. Check terms: For example, “Most brand eGifts do not expire. Please refer to specific eGift Terms and Conditions for details.” Zillion's Gift

Here’s where it gets interesting — the card is legit in structure, but also has many user complaints. Let’s weigh both sides:

Pros (why legit)

  • There are official listings of the product on trusted retailers (Best Buy listing for the digital version). Best Buy
  • The official site has clear FAQs, customer care phone number, terms. Zillion's Gift+1
  • Some users report success: > “I got a Zift card for my work colleagues… entered my card details, selected my eGift, and received it… Would definitely purchase for others!” Trustpilot+1

Cons (why many call it a scam or a pain)

  • Many users complaining they cannot redeem: > “I received two $100 gift cards… Tried using the Cracker Barrel card … told it denied no biggie … Try calling the number multiple times … nothing.” Trustpilot+1
  • Reddit threads show frustration: > “Website doesn’t work… you need to get off WiFi and use mobile data.” Reddit
  • On Trustpilot: The business has a very low score (e.g., ~1.9 out of 5) with many negative reviews describing “unable to redeem”, “customer service useless”, “error messages”. Trustpilot
  • Some users say the brand they expected (e.g., Amazon) wasn’t available when they tried: > “The brands shown on the card were ‘subject to change.’ … couldn’t find a current list of brands I could redeem for.” Reddit

My verdict
I’d say: yes, the product exists and is genuine, but it’s not hassle-free. There are too many user complaints around redemption failures, site glitches, “unable to verify information” errors. If you buy one, go in with realistic expectations, review the steps, check that your email/phone/browser setup works with the site, and be prepared to use customer service if things go wrong.

From what I found, here are the most frequent problems — and tips on how to avoid or mitigate them.

Issue #1: “Unable to process your order / verify your information”
Several users say they reach the checkout flow, select an eGift, then get an error message like: “We are unable to process your order (Reference Number: XXXXXX) — we are unable to verify the order information you provided.” Reddit+1
Tip:

  • Ensure you entered exact card details (number, CVV, expiration).
  • Try using mobile data (not WiFi) and a standard browser (e.g., Chrome) — some users found switching to mobile data helped. Reddit
  • Avoid VPNs. Some flagged that being “outside the US” or using VPN caused issues. Trustpilot

Issue #2: Brand list disappointment / expected brand not available
Users expected Amazon or certain brands, but found them missing or removed.
Tip: Before purchasing, check the latest brand list on the official site (Note: may not be exhaustive) or confirm in-store where bought. Realize “subject to change” is a disclaimer.

Issue #3: Trying to use the card directly in-store or as a universal card
One misunderstanding: some think they can treat the Zillions card like a universal Visa or a gift card for whatever store they choose. That’s not the case. The step of redeeming into a brand eGift is mandatory.
Tip: Be sure you understand you’ll redeem into a specific brand at the website – you won’t just walk into Ulta and swipe this card directly unless you’ve first converted it.

Issue #4: Balance/expiry/confusion

  • Some are unsure how to check remaining balance.
  • Some say the card shows no expiration date or unclear terms.
  • Some say small leftover amounts (cents) become unusable.
One user said: > “The website won’t allow you to redeem cents (i.e. if you have a $20.66 balance, they pocket the $0.66).” Trustpilot
Tip: After redeeming, check your balance. If leftover is minimal, maybe redeem soon for full amount rather than partial split. Also keep receipts/screenshots.

Issue #5: Non-US or outside region use
If you received the card but are outside the US or trying to redeem outside USA, you will likely run into problems. > “I’m not in the US. When trying to access the website it doesn’t let me and when trying with a VPN I can’t redeem the card.” Reddit
Tip: Confirm region eligibility before using/purchasing.

Here are some questions people often ask, with quick answers.

Q: Can I use a Zillions Gift Card at Ulta?
A: Potentially yes — if Ulta is one of the participating brand-choices available on the Zillions website for redemption. The product description mentions Ulta. PC Game Supply But you first must redeem the Zillions card into an “Ulta eGift” via ZillionsGift.com. Then use that Ulta eGift at Ulta.
Bottom line: Not “straight” at checkout at Ulta with the Zillions card alone.

Q: Where exactly can the Zillions Gift Card be used?
A: Only on the official site ZillionsGift.com (within the USA) to redeem into brand eGifts from participating brands. Then those eGifts are used at the brands. FAQ: “Your Card is redeemable only at ZillionsGift.com for eGifts from participating brands within the USA.” Zillion's Gift+1

Q: Is the Zillions Gift Card legit?
A: Yes — the card and service appear to be genuine, with official listings and terms. But many users report significant usability problems. Treat as legit, but with caution.

Q: How do I check my Zillions Gift Card balance?
A: On the site when you enter your card details, you’ll see your available amount (balance) before choosing eGifts. If you’re unsure, call customer service (1-833-414-9427) per FAQ. Zillion's Gift+1

Q: Can I buy the Zillions Gift Card online?
A: Yes — you can buy from official site, or trusted retailers (digital versions) like Best Buy. Best Buy+1

Q: Does the Zillions Gift Card expire?
A: The general FAQ states: “Most brand eGifts do not expire. Please refer to specific eGift Terms and Conditions for details.” Zillion's Gift The original Zillions card may have terms/expiry depending on when purchased; always check your specific card.

Pros

  • Flexibility: many brands to choose from allows recipient to pick what they like.
  • Digital & physical purchase options.
  • Clearly listed terms & redemption process (at least available).

Cons

  • Usability issues: many users report errors, inability to redeem, brand not available.
  • The mandatory step (redeem into brand) adds complexity compared to traditional single-brand gift cards.
  • Some leftover balances may become effectively unusable.
  • Customer service and user experience complaints are many.
  • Region limited (USA only) which can catch some people unaware.

  • Buy from a trusted retailer (not shady reseller) so you can trace purchase and card details.
  • Check the brand list available at the time of your purchase — if your desired brand (e.g., Amazon, Ulta) isn’t listed, reconsider.
  • Scratch carefully on physical card, reveal the number/serial fully.
  • Use a stable device/browser (many users report success on Chrome + mobile data instead of WiFi).
  • Keep receipts/screenshots of purchase and card activation in case issues arise.
  • Redeem sooner rather than later, in case expiration or brand changes.
  • Be prepared for extra step: you cannot just walk into store with this card; you must redeem first for a specific brand eGift.
  • If you get error messages, try: switching browser, turning off VPN, use mobile data, clear cookies, use a different email provider (some users say Gmail worked better).
  • Save customer service number (1-833-414-9427) ahead of time.
  • If leftover balance is small, try redeeming for smaller eGift rather than leaving a tiny amount.

The Zillions Gift Card is an interesting concept — giving recipients choice rather than being locked to one store. For gift-givers who want flexibility, it can be appealing. However, the execution appears to be inconsistent: many users report problems with redeeming, confusion over brands, and poor customer experience.

If I were giving advice: yes, you can use these cards and they can work — but only if you go in aware of the redemption process, the limitations, and the potential hiccups. It’s not the same experience as a basic single-store gift card where you just walk in and redeem. If you want worry-free simplicity, maybe opt for a single-brand card (Ulta, Amazon, etc) instead. But if you’re okay navigating redemption and want flexibility, Zillions can be a viable option.

Okay, your turn! I’d love to hear from you:

  • Have you used a Zillions or Zift Zillions of Gifts card recently? What brand did you redeem it for?
  • Did you experience any issues (errors, brand missing, leftover balance problem)?
  • If you got it successfully, what device/browser did you use? Mobile vs desktop? WiFi vs mobile data?
  • Would you recommend it to a friend — yes or no — and why?
